Optometrist

Dr. Nicole Pearce was born in Bucharest, Romania, and relocated to Vancouver, Washington when she was in primary school. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Pearce is an exceptional optometrist. She is known for her friendly, conversational approach to clinical care, but is adamant that only the most up-to-date, evidence-based diagnostic tools and treatments are used at You & Eye. She is fluent in spoken and written English and Romanian, and she can conduct eye exams in Spanish. Dr. Pearce has provided long-term, sustainable eye care in remote clinics in Alaska and Fiji. She was a visiting lecturer at An-Najah National University and a lead eye care instructor for two years at the Pacific Eye Institute in Suva, Fiji. She has published peer-reviewed papers related to eye care and public health and presented at national and international meetings.

Destiny wears many hats at You & Eye, but her official titles are Lead Optician and Office Manager. She is well known for her phenomenal customer service and attention to detail. Her optical career began in 2006 and her passion for optical fashion and putting patients into the ideal glasses has only grown from there.  Destiny is an ABO certified optician with a self- proclaimed mission to create an amazing experience for all who enter the office. She does this by making sure you feel comfortable, welcomed, and appreciated for who you are. Outside of work, Destiny spends her time with her husband, 3 stepchildren, and a little dog. Destiny’s hobbies include music, theater, and performance art. 

Emily is new to the world of eye care but has already proven that she will excel. Prior to joining the You & Eye team, she provided over 20 years of customer-focused service as a barista. As our Patient Care Coordinator, Emily will be the friendly voice on the phone and the welcoming face you see upon entering the practice. Emily enjoys getting to know people and is looking forward to meeting all our new and established patients. Emily loves animals and enjoys working on puzzles. In her personal time, Emily can be found doing arts and crafts (anything from needlework to stained glass and a huge variety in between). Her true passion, however, is being Auntie Em to her nieces and nephews.

Ramey is our outstanding Optometric Assistant. Prior to joining the You & Eye team she was a patient of You & Eye.  After having a retinal detachment in 2021, Ramey left her days of teaching middle school behind and was hired as Dr. Pearce's assistant. As someone who has experienced her own unique eye issues, Ramey enjoys patient care most of all. She creates a positive, comforting, and anxiety-free experience for patients. When not being an exceptional Optometric Assistant, Ramey can most certainly be found enjoying all that there is to do in and around West Linn with her family.
